Is acupuncture painful?

People often worry that acupuncture may be uncomfortable. The reality is that we use VERY fine needles much narrower than needles use for injections. Because of this the needles we use cause none or very little discomfort.

How long does a consultation take?

The first consultation usually takes about 20-30 minutes. Your medical history and medication details will be taking along with an examination connected to your problems.

What is herbal medication?

Herbal medications have been used for many thousand of years in China and now used regularly all over the world. At Longevity Clinic we use packed herbs in powder / tablet form.  To use them it’s very simple being similar to the technique of making instant coffee by just adding boiled water (if tablet form, just take it with water).

What is Tui Na / Acupressure

This is a form of massage pressure specifically applied to particular areas of the body. This is a very successful form of Chinese medicine and sometimes can be used in place of acupuncture.  This treatment is very suitable for patients who prefer not to have acupuncture.
